Pastoral Support Worker – Primary School – Lambeth (SW2)
Location: Lambeth, South West London (SW2)
Salary: £120 – £135 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only
We are currently recruiting for a Pastoral Support Worker to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Lambeth (SW2) for an immediate start.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in behaviour support, youth work, SEN, or pastoral care who is passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with challenging behaviour
  • Implement behaviour intervention strategies and support plans
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral team to support pupil progress
  • Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing, engagement, and development
  • Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitor and record behaviour and progress
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Understanding of SEN and behavioural needs (e.g. ADHD, SEMH)
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships quickly
  • Team player with good communication skills
